ST WERBURGH CHURCH MOTHERS' UNION
The Mothers' Union is a global Christian movement of women (and men). It is both an international campaigning charity and also a support for local communities through social outreach programmes.
St Werburgh's is a well established branch with a membership of between 30 and 40. At local level we run a weekly coffee morning on Thursdays in the Knighton room and a monthly lunch. We support the playgroup by serving their refreshments twice a week, giving mums a chance to chat and welcome new mothers to the village.
All meetings are held in the Wembury War Memorial Village Hall, Knighton Room at 2.00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month unless otherwise stated.
Mothers' Union Corporate Communion is held in the Parish Church at 10.00 a.m. on the last Wednesday of the month.
We have monthly meetings with a variety of interesting speakers
We always welcome enquiries and visitors to our meetings. And if anyone would like to help with serving coffee, or making a pud for the monthly lunch sometime, we would love to meet you.
