Welcome to the ‘new look’ notices. We will no longer be printing weekly notice or reading sheets which will save the church over £500 a year. The notices will be displayed by the church door and on the church website.

OCTOBER DIARY DATES
CHURCH ‘SPRUCE-UP DATE will be announced soon. Please come along to help get the
church ready for winter. If the weather’s good, some outside jobs too.
SIDESPERSONS: Our tiny band of volunteers would welcome any assistance you can give. Please consider joining the team and offer your services to Carol.
Your HARVEST GIFTS will be shared between Shekinah and the Foodbank – non-perishable items please.
FINAL COLLECTION of plastic bottle tops this year will be taken to France on 21 October, with collections in church from Sunday 7 October to 21 October. Over the year we have made a useful contribution to the charity ‘Les Bouchons de l’Avenir’ which has been much appreciated. When known, dates for next year’s collections will be publicised, but please do not bring collections to church after 21 October until further notice. Thank you all Mike.
CHURCH OPEN AFTERNOON – October 21st from midday. There will be lots going on including churchyard walks, see the view from the tower, children’s quiz, church mouse hunt plus delicious cream teas! If you can volunteer in any way to help steward, serve teas etc or just bring your friends and neighbours. Come and see why the tower needs expensive works.
Songs of Praise at 4.00 pm – tell us your favourite hymn and we will sing the popular ones.
THE BATH CHRISTMAS MARKET OUTING - THURSDAY Dec 6th come and enjoy the market and shops before they get busy at the weekend! The coach leaves Wembury at 8am with a pick-up in Elburton. Departing Bath at 5pm. Tickets £20 from Sue 862131 or Jayne 863292
The FOODBANK always requires donations for local people in crisis. Tins and packets of non-perishable food are best for leaving in church, but gifts of toiletries and cleaning products are also very welcome.
Please bring items weekly, to the box on the back pew.
SOCIAL AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS: The new Fundraising Committee have some exciting events planned for later in the year. We are a small committee and would welcome new members and/or new ideas – contact Sue Lord or Carol Steel.
Do put these dates in your diary and invite your friends and neighbours to come along with you.
PRAYER LIST: With the new Data Protection legislation in mind, we can only take requests from the person or a very close relative. Names will remain for a maximum of 3 months but can of course be renewed on request.
