Lovers of classical music will be delighted that Divertimento are returning to  Wembury, this time with flute added to strings.

Judith Hall is one of the most distinguished flautists in the UK. She was most  recently heard in Plymouth partnered by the guitarist Craig Ogden, a fellow Australian.

Orchestras in which she has played as guest Principal Flute include the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, English Chamber Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra and English National Opera.

As a recital soloist she has played frequently in major British venues, with live BBC recordings from St David's Hall, Cardiff, the BBC Concert Hall and the Pump Room, Cheltenham. Aldeburgh Proms etc.

She can be heard on many CDs and teaches at Birmingham Conservatoire.

The fine string players Mary Eade (violin), Andrew Gillett (viola) and Vicky Evans (cello) will be familiar to Wembury audiences from previous Divertimento concerts.

The programme includes Mozart's flute quartet in D, Beethoven's Serenade op. 25 and Rossini's Quartet in G. Judith Hall will play solo works too including Debussy's famous Syrinx. Her flute sound is gorgeous.
