Calling all gardeners! The plans for a Flower Festival in 2019 are in the very early stages – more detail soon. As gardens are tidied over the winter period, please take some extra cuttings etc to donate to a plant stall.
Elizabeth East is hosting a coffee morning at her home, 1 St Werburgh Close, on Friday November 23rd from 10am. There will be a Bring & Buy, a raffle, delicious cakes to buy, books and cards on sale and of course, great company. Tickets are £3 available in church or from Carol, Sue or Jayne.

Everyone is invited to a Lay Discipleship and Ministry taster and consultation evening on Tuesday November 20th in Holy Cross church, Newton Ferrers at 7:00pm. Jon Curtis, the Diocesan Lay Discipleship Project Manager is putting on special training for our deanery. The training courses will run in February/March 2019 – more information on the church notice board.
Rev Caroline Eglin is holding an Advent Quiet Day at her home in Yealmpton on Wed Dec 5th. Booking is essential. It will cost £16 to include lunch and drinks. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Remember that on Saturday November 10th Wembury Local History Society are holding an exhibition in Wembury War Memorial Village to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War between 10am and 5pm.
To support this, the church is organising the refreshments which will be in the Knighton Room between 10am – 4pm. We would welcome helpers to support on the day – please let Carol know if you can come for an hour or so.
The Bath Christmas Market outing - THURSDAY Dec 6th come and enjoy the market and shops before they get busy at the weekend! The coach leaves Wembury at 8am with a pick-up in Elburton. Departing Bath at 5pm. Tickets still available at £20 from Sue 862131 or Jayne 863292
The FOODBANK always requires donations for local people in crisis. Tins and packets of non-perishable food are best for leaving in church, but gifts of toiletries and cleaning products are also very welcome. Please bring items weekly to the box on the back pew.
Prayer List: with the new Data Protection legislation in mind, we can only take requests from the person or a very close relative. Names will remain for a maximum of 3 months but can of course be renewed on request. Prayer Diary is on the church website.
